about

At the root of human conflict is our fundamental misunderstanding of who we are. The illusion that we are isolated beings, unconnected to the rest of the universe and each other, has led us to view the “outside” world and others with hostility. Breaking this taboo can be extremely objectionable in society as a whole yet questioning them will help us grow and understand why they exist in the first place and what we can do to better things.

Lessons of love, understanding, choices, perseverance, and adaptability are some of the themes on 'The Taboo Of All Things'.

This is an EP of reflection.

The ambient and weaving formations of the layers in each track are representations of the elements of the environment around us each more beautiful than the next especially when they are interlaced. The rawness and unpredictability of some of the sounds is to show that nothing is ever the same twice.

This is Toronto-born Demsky’s second solo EP. Now residing in Tokyo, Demsky takes a lot of his inspiration from artists like Tycho, Lemon Jelly and the beat-making, post-rock scenes that he’s heavily involved in supporting Tomy Wealth.

about

Demsky Toronto, Ontario

"The man with the kite?" Will was puzzled.

"He does his work down here," she explained; "but he holds a string in his hand, and at the other end of the string is a kite, and the kite is forever trying to go higher, higher, Higher. Even while he's at work, he feels the constant Pull from Above,

feels the Spirit tugging insistently at the flesh.
Think of it!"
